Hi friends,
Greetings from New Orleans, Louisiana! Well, to be more specific, Slidell, Louisiana. We flew in last night, and are visitng family for Christmas. It is such a gift to be able to spend time with loved ones. Speaking of love, that is our meditation theme for this week, Advent - Love in the Obedience. We bless you this week to discover God's love through obedience to Him. Where the world may tell you to self protect, and do things on your own, our hope is that through spending time with God, you encounter the rich love that only comes from complete surrender to Him. He is trustworthy and kind. Until then, have a blessed Christmas holiday. We'll see you next Thursday, on December 25th!
With Love,

Week 4 of Our Advent Series
This week’s meditation invites us to reflect on a quieter kind of love, the kind that chooses obedience even when the path is unclear. Through Joseph’s story, we’re reminded that love is often lived out through trust, courage, and faithful action rather than words. As you listen, you’re invited to slow down, rest in God’s presence, and consider where love might be calling you to respond with a simple, faithful yes.
This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit. Joseph, to whom she was engaged, was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly, so he decided to break the engagement quietly.
In the meditation, we read versus 18-21
When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
Reflection
Obedience invites intimacy. What is love calling you to do?
Where is God inviting you to love through obedience?
What fear, discomfort, or hesitation do you need to surrender in order to follow His lead?
What is Your Word for 2026?
We've created a free download, titled What’s Your Word? A Prayerful Guide to Discern Your Word for 2026. This short guided experience is designed to help you slow down, reflect, and listen for the single word God is inviting you to carry into 2026. Rather than setting goals or resolutions, you’ll be led through gratitude, reflection, Scripture, and prayer to discern a word that becomes a lens for the year ahead.
When you have your word for the new year, don't forget to send to to us at [email protected]
You Might Be Fighting the Wrong Season
Life is full of seasons, and each one asks something different of us. In our newest episode, we explore how to recognize the season you’re in, why resisting it can create unnecessary pain, and how God uses every season—joyful or painful—to shape us. Whether you’re in a season of growth, waiting, loss, or renewal, this conversation invites you to slow down, listen, and partner with what God is doing right now.
A Daily Declaration
Like Joseph, I choose trust over fear, and obedience over comfort.
